“You can’t do anything other than be happy.”
I am so comfortable in my beautiful apartment and on my balcony that I didn’t suffer much during the quarantine. Even my children were agreeably surprised to see how well I was doing!
The residence handled the situation very well and gave us letters every day to keep us informed of what was happening in the residence and elsewhere. It was done with total transparency and I had full confidence in them. They did everything to keep us happy. I remember one afternoon when they brought us a glass of wine and a snack. I sat in a chair in front of my apartment door and I chatted all afternoon with my next-door neighbours. We played music. We wanted to laugh and tell stories. Every time there was a knock at the door it was a lovely surprise! A piece of fudge, a rainbow cake, Easter treats, we were very spoiled. Meals were delivered to our door every day by someone with a big smile. I still couldn’t wait to go back to the dining room to eat and see other people’s faces.
There were outdoor concerts, exercise sessions… Come to think of it, I didn’t have access to any of this before I came to live here.
