At Sélection Retraite, summer is for celebrating
To honour one of Quebecers’ favourite seasons, Sélection Retraite is proud to announce Québoom, a series of colorful and delightful activities, taking place in all Sélection Retraite residences this summer.
The animation teams in all the complexes have put a lot of effort into organizing initiatives showcasing Quebec culture under the theme of “Summer – Young at Heart.”
This program, which rigorously respects recommended public-health measures, is aimed at happiness – the happiness of all our residents.
On Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day, a celebrated Quebec dish – poutine – was served in all our complexes to the great delight of those residents who partook. Singer Guylaine Tanguay also brightened the day with her music thanks to a live broadcast on Facebook, re-broadcast on the Tour TV network throughout all our residences.
This summer, our large reading club, along with partner Renaud-Bray, will inspire all our residents to read more by sharing their literary favourites on the Sélection Retraite Facebook page.
Nothing beats open-air movies for enjoyment on a summer evening. The seventh art has been invited into our interior courtyards where we will present great Quebec classics. Residents will be able to enjoy the screenings comfortably seated in the courtyard (respecting social distancing) or from their own balcony.
Finally, thanks to our exceptional partnership with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, musicians will offer residents outdoor concerts in our courtyards. A unique experience!
Added to this program, there will be barbecues, dancing and indoor activities, in accordance with quarantine and public-health directives.
